As a former Deputy Clerk, Auditor and Bailiff in the Probate Court of Jackson County Missouri, I learned the importance of good estate planning. I also learned the basics of trying a case before the Probate Court. After law school I worked as a law clerk for the Honorable Charles Shangler in the Missouri Western District Court of Appeals where I honed my skills as a legal writer. I am admitted to the practice of law in the state of Missouri before the State and Federal Courts. I am a member of the Missouri Bar and of the Hispanic Bar Association of Kansas City and a current or former member of the National Trial Lawyers Association, the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association and the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys. I went into private practice with my father, Donald J. Quinn on June 1, 1981. I now practice law with my son, Matthew D. Quinn. I am a frequent guest speaker on estate planning, elder law and probate matters before both professional and civic groups. I am fluent in spanish and have regularly assisted in pro bono matters involving spanish speaking persons referred to me by various organizations. I graduated from Rockhurst High School in 1974 and then graduated from the University of Missouri at Kansas City with a B/A-English in 1977. I graduated from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law in 1980. I have attended numerous post graduate continuing legal education courses and I am conversant with the latest issues regarding Probate and Trust Litigation. I have litigated cases before the Probate Judges in Jackson, Clay, Cass, Platte, St. Clair and Benton Counties in Missouri and in Johnson and Wyandotte County, Kansas (with local counsel). Some clients say I have a "type A" personality. Maybe they are right. What I do know is that I really care about my clients and in getting them the best results possible.

Mr. Quinn was very quick to respond and was extremely helpful with my questions.
Mr. Quin returned my calls promptly. He was very friendly, and thoroughly answered all of my questions.
I had a very straight forward probate case, yet my previous attorney's kept dragging the case out - which cost me a lot of money. I fired them, and hired Mr. Quinn who told me he would resolved my case for one flat fee. Mr. Quinn handled everything exactly as he initially said he would, and got my case dismissed. Mr. Quinn took all of my calls, followed up timely with informative updates and clearly explained the probate process. I would highly recommend Mr. Quinn for all probate matters as he has the industry expertise, patience and discipline to represent his clients in the best possible way. Robert Scott

Excellent attorney, took care of my parent estates
Fantastic job. Always attentive, listens, brings good ideas, and I always feel better after leaving their office. Used them for many different things over the course of 10 years, wouldn't change a thing. Again, fantastic.

I am considering hiring Quinn and Quinn based on a few things. They were very professional, they took the time to ask good questions and I didn't feel rushed. They were very knowledgeable and gave good suggestions how to help make the probate process easier. Once I hire them I will give a good detailed outline expressing my full experience with Quinn and Quinn, but thus far I believe they are a good choice.
